to use xinerama please boot with nomodeset on the grub command line and see if it works.

I am experiencing a similar bug. Booting with nomodeset had no effect.

Is there a fix for this bug?

Comment 6 James Antill 2009-02-24 02:09:18 UTC
Dave: sorry ... haven't had time to test adding that option.

Scott: I just forced downgraded to

xorg-x11-drv-ati.x86_64 6.8.0-19.fc9 installed

...works fine.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me - the X server still crashes. I have
a slightly different video card (X300) - maybe that has something to do
with it?

Thanks anyway.

Scott. :)

Can you test with fedora 12 livecd and report if it works with it.

Comment 9 James Antill 2009-10-14 13:35:36 UTC
I'd forgotten about this BZ, I'm using:

xorg-x11-drv-ati.x86_64 6.12.2-14.fc11 @fedora

...which doesn't crash.
