Log Dump
Still does not work (same symptoms/errors) after updating kernel to 2.6.27.5-117.fc10. Only official fedora repo's are used for yum updating. No third party repos are used. Modified bug summary to be non-version specific. Can you post the logs from a working kernel? Created attachment 330348 [details]
Dump from Working Kernel
ttyUSB0 will not work; the connection needs to be made using ttyUSB1 How do we tell this to NetworkManager? I was able to successfully connect using gnome-ppp but only if I manually entered /dev/ttyUSB1 in setup (attempting to use detect still fails & hangs the system). Network Manager is still unhappy (but I have to find the correct config info to modify). Since it appears the naming conventions have changed in the kernel does this need to be listed as a bug in gnome-ppp & Network Manager? (In reply to comment #6) > How do we tell this to NetworkManager? I don't know why NM doesn't know to use /dev/ttyUSB1... I'll copy the maintainer. Upstream patch that caused the problem is reverted in 2.6.27.14-170.2.14 *** Bug 478315 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Updated to Kernel 2.6.27.15-170.2.24.fc10.i686 this past weekend and aircard now works as expected (both with gnome-ppp and NM) Thanks, Brianna |
