Description William Lovaton 2009-02-02 21:24:46 UTC
Description of problem:
Office 2007 works great with wine but when I try to open OutLook, the splash screen is always on top of every window and never goes away making it difficult to get anything done.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
wine-1.1.12-1.fc10.i386

How reproducible:
Always, just opening OutLook 2007.

Actual results:
The splash screen stays on top all the time.

Expected results:
The splash screen should go away after a while.

Additional info:
This bug has been reported in wine bugzilla here:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15291

There is already a suggested patch there taken from CrossOver to fix this problem but it looks a little weird to me. What do you think about it? is there a possibility to include this patch in the Fedora RPM while the bug is fixed upstream?

Comment 1 Jon Dufresne 2009-03-24 15:34:08 UTC
Thank you for the bug report. This is a bug with upstream. At the moment, the Fedora developers are busy fixing other issues and may not have time to work on this one.
