They are almost correct. The trademark guidelines stipulate that permission must be granted by Mozilla in order to use the trademarks, which we have. |
Description of problem: using a 3rd party build of Firefox with Mozilla branding and icons - Mozilla support forum site admin claims it is not kosher - seems unlikely but reporting a 'bug' here so Fedora project can run it down to be sure from the Mozilla Firefox support forum... QUOTE Where are you getting Firefox 64-bit builds from? I haven't seen any from Mozilla. If you are using a 3rd party build or 'Community build' {they aren't allowed to use official Firefox branding and icons - they can call it Minefield or Shiretoko and use those icon packs - pre-release code names for the Trunk/Branch builds}, you need to find the support forum for that specific build. This forum is for "official" Firefox builds. AFAIK, 64-bit Flash builds for Linux have only become available recently, an alpha version was released 12.16.08 . http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html END-QUOTE now... my Firefox is what came with my x86_64 distro, plus any updates, and shows from Help->About Mozilla Firefox... Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009020410 Fedora/3.0.6-1.fc10 Firefox/3.0.6 and it comes complete with links to the Mozilla webpages do we have a trademark problem or the Mozilla site admin have it wrong?
