Description Brian Mury 2009-02-19 03:15:56 UTC
Description of problem:

When attempting to speed up or slow down video playback does not change playback speed (it continues to play at normal speed). The audio cuts out for about a second, and when it comes back, the OSD symbol for normal speed playback appears for a few seconds.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xine-lib 1.1.16.2-1

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play a video with xine
2. Change playback speed using up/down cursor keys, or buttons on GUI.

Actual results:

Video continues at normal playback speed.

Expected results:

Playback speed should change.

Additional info:

This worked correctly with 1.1.16.1-1. It broke when the 1.1.16.2-1 upgrade was installed. Downgrading to 1.1.16.1-1 makes it work again.

Comment 1 Rex Dieter 2009-02-19 14:46:57 UTC
fyi,
1. 'xine' isn't currently part of fedora.
2. the primary change between 1.1.16.1 and 1.1.16.2 was a security issue, but the safe_audio_pause and gapless_race changes may be relevant.

That all said, I can confirm this using kaffeine too. Boo.
