Just providing an update. I recently installed F11 and the problem continues to exist. Jul 28 14:06:19 localhost NetworkManager: <info> (eth0): carrier now ON (device state 2) I've seen this on two different machines with b44 in F-12. Disconnect happen even if load is not high. The interface stays down, so if you're using network authentication (e.g. Kerberos) and screen saver locks the screen, it's game over. Is anyone looking at this bug at all? F-12, in my case. It seems that configuring the interface with a static IP address (for people that can do that) avoids the disconnection issues. I had it configured like that for a day now and no disconnection as yet. This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '11'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life.
