Description Rahul Sundaram 2009-03-13 13:54:02 UTC
Description of problem:

xguest which provides guest/kiosk mode support is only available via GDM now. Would be nice to have KDM support it as well

It's xguest which is only set up to allow GDM. As the xguest specfile:
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/xguest/devel/xguest.spec?revision=1.11&view=markup
says:
> The user is only allowed to log in via gdm.

In addition, everything in xguest is GNOME-specific. It has default configurations for GNOME and GNOME applications, it uses sabayon-apply etc.

This is clearly a GNOME-only feature which we cannot support in KDE.
