Description Ed Avis 2009-03-26 17:52:23 UTC
One of the most common uses of the freetds library is to build and use the DBD::Sybase perl module. However freetds-0.82 has a bug which stops DBD::Sybase from building, because it is missing some constants in a header file. (The symptom is messages like "dbdimp.c:777: error: ‘BLK_VERSION_150’ undeclared".)

As you can see in <http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/ALPHA/freetds/stable/>, there is a patch from upstream you can apply to 0.82 to fix this. It adds the missing constants to the header file. Please could you rebuild the freetds packages applying the patch in <http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/ALPHA/freetds/stable/cspublic.BLK_VERSION_150.patch>?

(I did ask upstream whether they could make a 0.82.1 release incorporating this patch, but they prefer to ask users to apply the patch themselves.)
