The kernel complaining is normal, it doesn't understand the option. However, modprobe will look for it when it's loading the module at a later point. Are you able to post your /var/log/messages from after a failed transition back to X? How do you suggest I do that? The screen goes dead :) Unless I install the beta and then reboot. Would that do? /var/log/messages will contain the kernel logs from the last couple of boots, so that's not a problem :) I'm using the LiveCD, so I have to install it. if the system's still running, you could ssh into it from another system and grab the log, or just work blind - switch to a vt, log in as root, plug in a usb stick, mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/temp , cp /var/log/messages /mnt/temp , umount /mnt/temp , then reboot :) This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle. Changing version to '11'. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping Reporter, could you please reply to the previous question? If you won't reply in one month, I will have to close this bug as INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers |
