Current xorg.conf file
I attached my current xorg.conf file, but this was created through an xorg autoconfig tool (forget the name). I'm still experiencing graphics issues, but they're different (and endemic to my model of laptop, Thinkpad T41, where the graphics card can separate from the motherboard). I'll switch drivers and see if I can cause the same graphical glitches as in the posted pictures. Why in the world, I haven't asked you for /var/log/Xorg.0.log as well? Fedora 11 beta is proving to be unstable for everyday use for me, I'll be switching to Ubuntu for the remainder of this semester. Should any further information be needed, I'll setup a dual boot system after 5/5/09 to run any more test cases or to gather any needed logs. Also, the error only happens with the "ati" graphics driver in Xorg.conf, not with the "vesa" driver. I haven't checked to see if my card is supported (if not, then the system shouldn't have configured X11 to use that driver). This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle. Changing version to '11'. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their packages. Created attachment 339154 [details] Screencap of messed up video output. Every single time I boot up, my display screws up within 15-20 minutes. I'm running a Thinkpad T41, which worked fine under Ubuntu. I do not know what driver I was running it with (no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, when I ran Xorg -configure it always failed, even after my attempts to kill X), but I know it's a ATI Radeon Mobility 7500.
