Description of problem:

Pulseaudio suddenly stopped working and can't auto start anymore. Manual start fails also.

1. try start ./pulseaudio
  
Actual results:

No playback of audio. Starting pulseaudio failed with:

similar log

Here is a similar log, which is always reproducible when starting gnome-volume-control. I've tried both kernel-2.6.29.1-106.fc11.x86_64 and kernel-2.6.30-0.66.rc3.fc12.x86_64 with similar results.
