Comment 1 Greg Martyn 2009-04-28 00:01:03 UTC
This is the same device using its native firmware (instead of Rockbox). Both work under F10, neither work under rawhide.

Comment 2 Johan Cwiklinski 2009-04-28 05:25:13 UTC
the fedora dolphin package is obsolete, since the dolphin application is now
included in kdebase.

$rpm -qf /usr/bin/dolphin
kdebase-4.2.2-3.fc10.x86_64

reassigning the bug to kdebase

Comment 3 Greg Martyn 2009-04-28 12:27:12 UTC
come to think of it, it's probably a udev problem.

Comment 4 Kevin Kofler 2009-04-28 19:17:23 UTC
Yeah, certainly a kernel or udev issue, reassigning.

Comment 5 Harald Hoyer 2009-04-29 11:29:39 UTC
which version of udev? you might try udev-141-3.fc11

Comment 6 Greg Martyn 2009-04-29 12:20:16 UTC
# yum list udev
Installed Packages
udev.x86_64 141-3.fc11 installed

Comment 7 Harald Hoyer 2009-04-29 12:57:32 UTC
Hmm, looks more like a kernel issue.

ehci_hcd and address 23

Comment 8 Bug Zapper 2009-06-09 14:41:02 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle.
Changing version to '11'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 9 Tim Wegener 2009-06-30 03:41:55 UTC
I also have this problem, with Sansa C240 + Rockbox. It works with Fedora 10 (x86_64 and i686), but not with Fedora 11 (x86_64 and i586).

The

Note that it does work when the C240 is booted into the Sansa firmware.

When working, it gets mounted as:
/media/Sansa\ c240/

lsusb shows the device even when it doesn't mount:

As Rockbox (doesn't mount):
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0781:7450 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C250

As Sansa (does mount):
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 0781:7451 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C240

See forthcoming dmesg snippets.

Comment 14 Bug Zapper 2010-04-27 13:58:17 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '11'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 11 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 15 Bug Zapper 2010-06-28 12:14:41 UTC
Fedora 11 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2010-06-25. Fedora 11 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
