Description Johan Rvnnblom 2001-07-24 12:37:51 UTC
Description of Problem:

The RedHat 7.1 installer doesn't appear to recognize memory above 16MB

on some systems, and thus the installation fails.

How Reproducible:

There is a bug in the way some motherboards report their amount of memory to the
kernel. You can force it to recognize all your RAM by passing 'linux mem=xxxMB'
where 'xxx' is the amount of RAM that you have. Does this fix the problem?
