Does the 'Lock Screen' in the System menu work ? Is gnome-screensaver running in your session ? There is no 'Lock Screen' in my system menu. I'll double check when home, but I don't think gnome-screensaver is running. Then you probably don't have gnome-screensaver installed. The user switcher applet should probably be as smart about this as the panel is. Ah, I didn't know lock screen was dependent on gnome-screensaver. Should I close this bug and refile it more accurately? No, I moved it to gdm, where the user switcher applet lives. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 11 development cycle. Changing version to '11'.
