Description Chris Lalancette 2009-05-19 11:58:47 UTC
Description of problem:
While running 1 or more FV guests on a RHEL 5.4 beta kernel (2.6.18-148.el5xen), I experience frequent hard lockups. Unfortunately, there is no information at all; no stack trace, no core dump, nothing. It's possible that this could be a hardware problem, but I'll have to go back to some slightly earlier kernels (that I know worked) to confirm whether they still work. For reference, the machine in question is an AMD Barcelona machine, with 2 quad-core processors and 16GB of memory.

This is almost certainly a problem with my hardware. Other people have tested on barcelona, with no ill effects. Additionally, a Fedora kernel (which bears little resemblance to the RHEL-5 kernel at this point) also hangs repeatedly. I'm going to close this as NOTABUG.
