Description Jase Whipp 2009-05-21 17:58:59 UTC
Description of problem:

When using the Evolution MAPI against Exchange 2003, messages turn into garble when they reach the recipient.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

evolution.x86_64 2.26.1-2.fc11 installed
evolution-data-server.x86_64 2.26.1-1.fc11 installed
evolution-mapi.x86_64 0.26.1-1.fc11 installed
evolution-perl.x86_64 2.26.1-2.fc11 installed

How reproducible:

Connect Evolution to Exchange, send a message.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install evolution-mapi
2. Configure Evolution to connect to your Exchange
3. Send a message

Actual results:

Example Email:

This was a normal text-formatted message, when it got to the recipient, it appeared like this:

Expected results:

Receiving messages works fine, sending should also work.

Additional info:

(Preview) Fedora release 11 (Leonidas)
Exchange 2003

Note: I don't have an Exchange 2007 to test this against, may have the same issue. My understanding of the mapi plug-in is that it allows for integration with other Exchanges not just 2007. If I am wrong, there should be some release notes added.

Moving this upstream for better visibility. Please see [1] for further updates.
