Description: Nginx [engine x] is an HTTP(S) server, HTTP(S) reverse proxy and IMAP/POP3 proxy server written by Igor Sysoev.

In the stock Fedora nginx package there is only one third party module included, nginx-upstream-fair.

However, nginx by itself provides very poor authentication support (only HTTP Basic Auth is actually supported).

There's a PAM Auth module available for nginx (see full list of 3rd party modules here http://wiki.nginx.org/Nginx3rdPartyModules#Auth_PAM_Module). With this module been included we could have a vast number of authentication options enabled, as almost everything is supported through the PAM.

You should file a bug against nginx itself, rather than adding this review request.

Please, notify Fedora's nginx maintainer via bugzilla or maybe even directly. All necessary information can be obtained here:

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/nginx

That's why I'm closing this ticket.

O/T you may find it interesting to discuss some aspects of Fedora development in russian language in unofficial xmpp conference:
