Description Gerry Reno 2009-05-28 23:48:13 UTC
Description of problem:
When I run:
service named status
I see an error for:
named-sdb dead but pid file exists
but when you check named-sdb is running fine. The problem seems to be related to the symbolic link in /var/run/named-sdb.pid --> /var/named/chroot/var/run/named-sdb.pid. The pid in the file is old. During 'stop' I think the symbolic link is getting removed instead of the pid file.
