Description of problem: I installed Fedora 11 on my laptop, rebooted and just about went deaf from the volume. I think setting the volume to max on install is not a good thing. How about setting to something like 10% that's a little less likely to make the user deaf or damage the speakers. Previous Fedora versions seem to have had this right so something is definitely hosed in the current setup.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): not sure exactly what component caused the problem.


How reproducible: unknown


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 11
2. insert ear plugs
3. boot computer
  
Actual results: People from through the office come running to ask what all the noise is about


Expected results: Non-pain-inducing volume level sound effects greet the user on start up


Additional info: The component list lacks both "installer" or "volume control" so I wasn't sure what to file this under.
