Description Michael Ploujnikov 2009-06-14 20:05:20 UTC
Description of problem:
When I start projectM-pulseaudio from the console, it prints a few messages and then promptly quits without displaying any window with graphical output.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.12-36.20090514git9656762.fc11.x86_64
projectM-pulseaudio-1.2.0-4.fc11.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. $ projectM-pulseaudio
2.
3.

Actual results:
(I see the following output on the terminal)
dir:/usr/share/projectM/config.inp
reading ~/.projectM/config.inp
configFile: /home/plouj/.projectM/config.inp
MAX SAMPLES:2048
load config END
(after this message appears projectM-pulseaudio exits)

Expected results:
I should see a window with graphical output and the program shouldn't terminate unless I ask it to (by pressing ESC).

Additional info:
video card: 05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600 GTS (rev a1)
glxgears runs :)
glxinfo shows "direct rendering: Yes"

Comment 1 Michael Ploujnikov 2009-06-14 20:07:42 UTC
I just noticed that projectM-pulseaudio terminates with a non-zero exit code (1 to be specific).

Comment 2 Michael Ploujnikov 2009-09-10 22:55:03 UTC
To my surprise, this actually works, although the rendering is very slow, with the latest rawhide LiveCD image (http://adamwill.fedorapeople.org/20090909_test_day_images/testday-20090909-x86_64.iso) with the following components:
