Relevant section of yum.log, after thes updates the behaviour started.
Since this bugzilla report was filed, there have been several major updates in various components of the Xorg system, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their packages. For packages from updates-testing repository you can use command yum upgrade --enablerepo='*-updates-testing' Alternatively, you can also try to test whether this bug is reproducible with the upcoming Fedora 12 distribution by downloading LiveMedia of F12 Beta available at http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/nightly-composes/ . By using that you get all the latest packages without need to install anything on your computer. For more information on using LiveMedia take a look at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraLiveCD . Created attachment 348357 [details] Kernel oops log Description of problem: Upon using one of the 'zoom' Desktop effect on KDE 4.3 beta 2 (desktop cube & cover switch) the system hangs and I get a kernel oops on the intel driver. Did not happen before yesterdays mesa-dri-drivers update. No KDE update happened. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mesa-dri-drivers-7.6-0.1.fc11.x86_64 mesa-libGL-7.6-0.1.fc11.x86_64 kdebase-workspace-4.2.90-2.fc11 How reproducible: Use one of KWin's effects which zoom out the desktop. Actual results: Kernel oops Expected results: The desktop zooming out and showing the desktop cube. Additional info:
