Description Riumin Oleksii 2009-06-18 07:37:31 UTC
Description of problem: During installation if crypting is chosen it's not possible to choose crypting parameters (key size etc).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 11 on hard drive where drive is already encrypted.
2. Enter password for LUKS.
3. Choose encrypting and formating drive.

Actual results: no parameters for LUKS were suggested.

Expected results: choosing parameters for LUKS.

Having a big dialog full of LUKS-specific options is pretty bad UI, though. Most people aren't going to know what it means and will find it very confusing. Usually when we say this, people counter with "well, just hide it in an expert settings page". Unfortunately, we have found that most people view themselves as experts so this doesn't really help.

If there are specific options that really should be selected for most use cases, we should make them defaults in the tools.
