What the screen looks like

Description of problem:
Attempting to boot kernel-2.6.31-0.17.rc0.git15.fc12 with modesetting enabled on my HP zx5030EA notebook with ATI Radeon 9200 (M9+) graphics results in a blank screen, the lower half of which consists of a corrupted console display that gradually turns white. The boot process stops, but does not completely hang as the machine responds to Ctrl+Alt+Del and restarts.

Fixed in kernel-2.6.31-0.24.rc0.git18.fc12.i586.
