Description Benny 2009-06-21 22:48:48 UTC
Description of problem:
When starting the program qtiplot version 0.9.7.6 which can be downloaded at
http://soft.proindependent.com/download.html (I downloaded the pre compiled tar-ball either i386 x86_64) and I get the error:
error while loading shared libraries: libpython2.5.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I googled around and other programs seem to have this problem too, I have not found any solution so far.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Python 2.6 (provided by yum in Fedora 11)
qtiplot version 0.9.7.6 (provided by the qtiplot website)

How reproducible:
Every time you start the program

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the tar-ball
2. Unpack the tar-ball
3. Run program ./qtiplot in a terminal

Actual results:
Nothing starts up.
Shell output:
error while loading shared libraries: libpython2.5.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Expected results:
A functioning new version of qtiplot

Additional info:
I tried locate libpython2.5.so.1.0 and found nothing, so the file does not exist.
I tried yum install libpython2.5.so.1.0 and got:
No package libpython2.5.so.1.0 available.
Nothing to do

This is not a python problem, contact whoever runs:
