firstboot asked me to submit this.
There should be a /tmp/firstboot* file that has the crash in it, assuming you're getting a traceback from firstboot. Could you please attach that to this bug report? Created attachment 349803 [details]

system-config-kdump is used during firstboot? In what way? This probably belongs to kexec-tools *** Bug 448098 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This looks like related to the kdump module from the firstboot. From the comment #3, Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/firstboot/loader.py", line 87, in loadModules loaded = imputil.imp.load_module(module, found[0], found[1], found[2]) File "/usr/share/firstboot/modules/firstboot_kdump.py", line 34, in <module> import functions ImportError: No module named functions This is fixed in Rawhide.
