Comment 2 Chris Lumens 2009-06-29 14:39:36 UTC
There should be a /tmp/firstboot* file that has the crash in it, assuming you're getting a traceback from firstboot. Could you please attach that to this bug report?

Comment 5 Roman Rakus 2009-08-31 07:12:40 UTC
system-config-kdump is used during firstboot? In what way?

Comment 6 Roman Rakus 2009-08-31 07:26:53 UTC
This probably belongs to kexec-tools

Comment 7 Roman Rakus 2009-08-31 07:27:57 UTC
*** Bug 448098 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Comment 8 Qian Cai 2009-08-31 08:02:56 UTC
This looks like related to the kdump module from the firstboot. From the comment #3,

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/firstboot/loader.py", line 87, in loadModules
    loaded = imputil.imp.load_module(module, found[0], found[1], found[2])
  File "/usr/share/firstboot/modules/firstboot_kdump.py", line 34, in <module>
    import functions
ImportError: No module named functions
