This is a new driver in 5.4, so no chance for regression and Chelsio is actually doing the QA/QE for us, so adding the patch will not invalidate our testing. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. However feel free to provide a comment indicating that this fix has been verified. JFYI, we tried the kernel-2.6.18-158.el5 and the problem is no longer happening, the connection went through fine. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA. Created attachment 349617 [details] kernel patch generated against dzickus 155.el5 Description of problem: If VLAN is configured on the cxgb3 interface, the iscsi connection would be denied with error message "NOT going through cxgbi device." How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure VLAN on the cxgb3 interface 2. iscsi discovery via cxgb3i 3. connect to the discovered target via cxgb3i Actual results: The connection would fail. Expected results: The connection should go through. Additional info:
