Description Mary Ellen Foster 2009-06-30 09:45:03 UTC
Description of problem:
I have an Intel graphics card, modesetting is enabled, and I've configured my xorg.conf to come up in dual-head side-by-side mode. In this configuration, OpenOffice.Org "Slide show" never works properly, whether I set the monitor to "Primary", "Secondary", or "Both". With "Primary" and "Both", running slide show produces a messed-up white swirly screen on my external monitor; with "Secondary", I get the same messed-up swirliness on my internal laptop display.

With no dual-head, the slide show works fine (and probably also in dual-screen clone mode although I haven't checked).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openoffice.org-impress-3.1.0-11.3.fc11.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.7.0-7.fc11.x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to run a slide show in dual-head mode

Additional info:
I also have openoffice.org-presenter-screen-3.1.0-11.3.fc11.x86_64 installed, although it's never made a difference as I don't think it's compatible with the current OO.o. I'll try again without it to see if it makes a difference.

Additional information: presentations work fine in clone mode (because there's no primary and secondary display), and it doesn't appear possible to remove the presenter-screen package so I can't test the impact of that.

Oops, sorry, should have searched first. :(

You're using KDE right ?
