Description of Problem:
The TERM variable is set to 'rxvt' instead of the (more) standard 'xterm'.

This causes me some keyboard strangeness in ncurses applications at the
console and wrecks havoc on sessions to older versions of RedHat, other
distributions, and especially causes commercial *nix's barf when it comes
to screen handling.
