Comment 4 John Jarvis 2009-10-23 20:19:24 UTC
This enhancement request was evaluated by the full Red Hat Enterprise Linux
team for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux minor release. As a
result of this evaluation, Red Hat has tentatively approved inclusion of
this feature in the next Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update minor release.
While it is a goal to include this enhancement in the next minor release
of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the enhancement is not yet committed for
inclusion in the next minor release pending the next phase of actual
code integration and successful Red Hat and partner testing.

Hello Red Hat,
fyi .. we verified that the libspe2 as contained in the RHEL5.5 build from 12/27/09
("libspe2-2.3.0.135-3.el5.src.rpm 2009-Jul-27 07:09 225k")
fulfills this RHEL5.5 feature request ...
Thanks for all your support.

Comment 9 John Jarvis 2010-01-14 16:43:05 UTC
removing from 5.5 trackers since this is fulfilled for 5.5.

Comment 12 John Jarvis 2010-03-01 17:51:36 UTC
Got confirmation from IBM this is not needed for 5.6
