Hi all :)

I tried to upgrade from Fedora 10 to 11 using Preupgrade.

I tried several times already, but the upgrade always hangs before it even starts.

It boots fine, and during the initialization anaconda freees. (always at a different point)

The system is running fine, I can switch to the text consoles. No error messages, no unusal activity in top, but anaconda doesn't do anything any more, as if it's waiting for something.

This time it showed this exception and kindly offered to automatically send a bug report. (Great feature, that one!)

I'm not sure the other freezes are related to this exception, but I thought it might help to give some context.

Gratefully,
 Lasheimok

Everytime it freezes it is at a different point? Can you run a memory checker on your machine and check your fans, etc. If it is freezing differently each time then it is possibly hardware going bad.

I'd want to rule that out first.
