Does tools->options->openoffice.org->view-> and disabling use hardware acceleration or use anti aliasing have any effect on this ?

Comment 2 Joachim Backes 2009-07-17 14:25:35 UTC
By removing tools->options->openoffice.org->view->"hardware acceleration" I get rid from this effect, removing Antialiasing has no effect.

with that toggle "on" we use the cairo canvas, without it we don't. So either a problem in

our cairo canvas (most likely)
cairo (much less likely)
the X driver (somewhat likely)

Comment 4 Caolan McNamara 2009-07-17 14:39:54 UTC
Is the black border around the flying text that begins with "48 Bits Wortlänge" ? I see no black border around it on my F-11 x86 with Intel i945 graphic, which makes me suspect a possible driver/cairo issue unless I'm simply missing it on screen.

can I get the output and
rpm -q cairo
and then attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log so I can have a look at what driver you've got there.

caolanm->dtardon: This visible for you on your box ?

Hmm, I see a bar underneath on a nouveau driver, and now that I look closer at the intel one I see a bar on the right. Maybe a little scaling bodge somewhere.

Comment 7 David Tardon 2009-07-17 18:13:00 UTC
dtardon->caolanm: I see a gray bar one or two pixels wide under "Bis 3 Zentralprozessoren ..." in DEV300_m52 on i386. The bar is covering nearly the whole width of the presentation window. The graphic card is Intel GM965/GL960 with intel driver.

Theres a fix available, checked in. Will be in >= 3.1.0-11.6 if and when an update >= that is pushed for F-11.
