Description Sayamindu Dasgupta 2009-07-27 22:08:38 UTC
The version of 30-keymap-olpc.fdi used as a patch for the latest hal-info package seems to be a bit outdated.

Also, while we work on the XO-1.5 efforts, we expect to make frequent changes to that file, and hence we think it would be better if the relevant fdi file was dropped from this package for the time being.

The package olpc-utils is already shipping an updated (and XO-1.5 compatible) version of the fdi file, and we plan to stick to that until at least the keyboard related bugs (OLPC specific) are sorted out. Since some of OLPC's engineers are co-maintainers for olpc-utils, it would also generate less package-maintainer churn when the fdi file needs to be updated.

We would push the fdi file for inclusion into upstream as soon as it is stabilized.

- Remove 30-keymap-olpc.fdi as it's now shipped in olpc-utils
- Fixes #514081

Is there a better solution to the problem that the file doesn't work for XO-1.5 than removing this file? Now XO-1 users are out of luck.
