This defect is considered MUST-FIX for Fairfax. you have to restore a valid MBR. Either install GRUB on the MBR or install some other MBR code to the MBR to get active partitions to boot. (in other words, this is user error) I disagree! You're going to wind up with a *lot* of broken lilo -> grub upgrades if you adopt that as RH policy. At a minimum, I think you need to assume that if the whole disk is being partitioned, the MBR should be replaced. |
