Description Bill Nottingham 2009-08-03 16:33:23 UTC
Description of problem:

In rawihde, whenever the gdm widgetry resizes, instead of a proper repaint of the background, you only get black.

This may be an X bug, I suppose.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-2.6.30-6.fc12.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99-22.20090724.fc12.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.8.0-2.fc12.x86_64
gdm-2.27.4-4.fc12.x86_64

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start to log in
2. greeter resizes

Actual results:

black background where the greeter resized

Expected results:

repaint of wallpaper

I spent a few minutes last week looking into this but didn't find out what was going on before I moved on to other things.

Something to do with gtk's root window handling and the new 'viewable' flag
