Description of problem: after fresh install of F11, Intel driver chooses 800x600 as the resolution for an LCD panel whose native resolution is 1366x768.
HP Compaq only certifies notebook with Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10. I have little knowledge of Linux, but prefer Fedora 11.

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot notebook normally

Actual results: X11 display resolution is 800x600, which is less than the
native resolution. No other resolution offered. Big widened fonts. No 3D effects possible either.

Expected results: X11 display resolution should be 1366x768, which is the native resolution for Compaq 610 Notebook FM950UT#ABA with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and chipset Intel GME965. 3D effects available.

Since this bugzilla report was filed, there have been several major updates in various components of the Xorg system, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their packages. For packages from updates-testing repository you can use command

yum upgrade --enablerepo='*-updates-testing'

Alternatively, you can also try to test whether this bug is reproducible with the upcoming Fedora 12 distribution by downloading LiveMedia of F12 Beta available at http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/nightly-composes/ . By using that you get all the latest packages without need to install anything on your computer. For more information on using LiveMedia take a look at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraLiveCD .
