Description John Ronciak 2009-08-18 23:33:45 UTC
When using dual speed module in Spring Fountain NIC the driver will not link at GB speed.

This bug is to track the resolution of the Niantic GB link issue in the RHEL5.4 driver.

kernel: 2.6.18-162

Steps to reproduce:

1. Load the driver.
2. Connect to a GB switch.
3. Check link.

RESULT:
No link

Should link at 1 gigabit.

This isn't that critical in that there will be few people that buy a 10 gigabit NIC to link at 1 gigabit but it is a bug. We will be pushing a fix upstream in the next few days. We have a patch for it already and it is under test.

We tested the latest 5.5 kernel and this problem is resolved. so I'm closing this bug.
