Description:
Scribus is an desktop open source page layout program with
the aim of producing commercial grade output in PDF and
Postscript, primarily, though not exclusively for Linux.

While the goals of the program are for ease of use and simple easy to
understand tools, Scribus offers support for professional publishing
features, such as CMYK color, easy PDF creation, Encapsulated Postscript
import/export and creation of color separations.

Notes:
- this is the stable branch (v1.3.3.x) of Scribus strongly recommended by upstream for doing serious work, it is installable in parallel with the scribus package containing the upcoming stable branch
- rpmlint is silent

I see a scribus in the repo coming from the same URL with exactly the same description and summary.

I believe this request can be closed.

Scribus is developed in 3 branches (stable, unstable and development) and these branches are being supported/developed in parallel for years. The scribus package contains the unstable branch that contains new features, but is not recommended for production-grade work. I was explicitly asked by upstream to include also the stable branch (this package).

It seems completely obvious to me that what's in the regular "scribus" package should be the stable version.  If you want to package an unstable version, fine, stick that in a separate package.

There is a long story about Scribus in Fedora stored in bugzilla that I have inherited. Using the latest version in the 1.3.x series (now 1.3.8) is completely valid option. And because I have no user request to include the stable 1.3.3.y package and the 1.3.x will be called the new stable in foreseeable future this review request can be almost ignored ... Btw the naming scribus-stable vs. scribus was discussed and agreed with upstream.

So what do you think?  I see 1.3.9 in F15, and 1.3.3.14 is to be the last 1.3.3.x.  I'd say close this.

Right, closing. The next stable version 1.4 is in rc5, so it shouldn't take  long before final release. I will then update all branches with it.
