This is yum update resolution.

I'm running rawhide updated as of yesterday and I have 26 updates today. When I click the 'Install Updates' button in the Update viewer, I get a list of 52 additional packages to install that are ... the original 26 updates with two entries for each.

There is neither a problem on the yum side, nor on the pkcon one (I used it to install the updates but maybe this is a non-obstrusive program hence it didn't ask for the additional updates, I do not know).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
	gnome-packagekit-2.27.92-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-gtk-module-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-yum-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-yum-plugin-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-glib-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-device-rebind-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686
	PackageKit-gstreamer-plugin-0.5.2-1.fc12.i686

I do not know if the problem comes from the gnome-PK or PK-core, so I assigned to gnome-PK. I checked redhat bz, then freedesktop and gnome one and I could not find any duplicates.

I need to check if the next update will do the same. The logs might become handy meanwhile. I'll attach all the relevant log files right now.

I fixed this bug in gnome git a few days ago. I'll patch rawhide on Monday.

Comment 6 Stéphane Démurget 2009-09-12 10:07:34 UTC
Ho, great! I usually check the git logs and did not, it would have bought both of us some time :p

Comment 7 Matthias Clasen 2009-10-02 04:40:04 UTC
Fixed in rawhide.
