My setup has a built in Intel HDA which is used by default as well as a US connected SB Live! card. Upon using the gnome-volume-applet to configure the SB Live! card to analog 5.1 it crashed.

A post snap2 update appears to have fixed this, abrt is a bit of a disappointment since it doesn't appear to catch useful traces.
