Aug 28, 2001. I discovered that the steady stream of scsi error messages going into /var/log/messages when there is no CD in the CD-drive stopped when the application gtcd (CDPLAYER) was stopped. Similarly I found it necessary to turn off the program that attempts to automatically mount CDs when they are inserted (Using GNOME Control Center to turn off CD Properties/ Automatically mount CD when inserted.). There are still occasional scsi error messages when new disks are inserted in the drive. Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists. The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/ |
