The following 3 lines in rc.sysinit
		for dmname in $(/sbin/dmraid -ay -i -p -t 2>/dev/null | \
				egrep -iv "^no " | \
				awk -F ':' '{ print $1 }') ; do

Should be replaced with:
		for dmname in $(/sbin/dmraid -s -c -i); do

Which besides being simpler also has the advantage of not listing subsets
of layer raids (such as raid10) so that we do not try to activate individual
subsets (which fails, and shows ugly error messages).

Note the above lines were copy pasted from Fedora's rc.sysinit so the actual
lines in RHEL might be slightly different, but the same principle applies.

Also see bug 513169, which covers the mkinitrd counterpart of this (mkinitrd
needs the same change for sets activated from the initrd).

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion, but this component is not scheduled to be updated in
the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. If you would like
this request to be reviewed for the next minor release, ask your
support representative to set the next rhel-x.y flag to "?".

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release.  Product Management has requested
further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential
inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed
products.  This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update
release.
