Description Mary Ellen Foster 2009-10-13 10:54:26 UTC
Description of problem:
In Eclipse, I can't click some buttons with the mouse; I need to use keyboard shortcuts instead.

For example, the following is reproduceable:
File - Import
Choose SVN/Checkout Projects from SVN and hit Next (works)
Select an existing repository location and hit Next

Every time I do this, the second "Next" button depresses when clicked, but nothing happens -- I never get off of the "Checkout from SVN" window. If I hit Alt-N or tab to the "Next" button and hit enter, I do move forwards though, and clicking the "Cancel" button on the same window does work.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
eclipse-platform-3.5.0-2.fc12.x86_64
eclipse-subclipse-1.6.5-1.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
See above

Additional info:
I'm filing this against eclipse because that's where I see the problem, but it may well be an issue at a different level.

Same problem here, for at least a week, maybe two. I use a Sun JRE.

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_16-b01)

Another workaround is to select the button with the mouse, then hit the enter key.

I've been hoping that some update might fix it (jre, glib2 or even the fedora theme) but no luck so far.

Can you try with http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1743496 ?
It contains a number of fixes for gtk 2.18.

Any word on whether the build Alex pointed to works for you? I'm 99% sure this was reported upstream and we backported a fix.

Comment 4 Mary Ellen Foster 2009-10-26 12:28:40 UTC
Yes, sorry about that -- I'm now using eclipse-platform-3.5.1-1.fc12.x86_64 and haven't had any button-clicking issues for a while now.

Comment 5 Andrew Overholt 2009-10-26 12:49:44 UTC
Okay, closing. Thanks.
