Description Cristian Ciupitu 2009-10-15 12:01:59 UTC
Description of problem:
The Django RPM includes "*.po" files, e.g. /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/conf/locale/en/LC_MESSAGES/django.po. "*.po" files are the equivalent of source code for translations and are compiled to "*.mo" files. Only "*.mo" files are needed for the program to function.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Django-1.1-4.fc11.noarch

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. rpm -q -l Django | grep -E '\.po$'

Actual results:
Lots of "*.po" files.

Expected results:
No "*.po" files.

Good catch. I'll make an update to remove them after this latest package makes it through.

Comment 2 James Bennett 2009-10-15 12:22:39 UTC
FWIW, upstream we don't consider this to be a bug (though your packaging policies may, of course, differ from ours).
