Description Kevin J. Cummings 2009-10-16 14:58:39 UTC
Description of problem:

Thunderbird-lightning doesn't work with the new thunderbird Beta 4 that was
just released.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

thunderbird-lightning-1.0-0.7.20090715hg.fc11
thunderbird.x86_64 0:3.0-2.8.b4.fc11

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.update thunderbird
2.
3.

Actual results:
Error: Missing Dependency: thunderbird < 3.0-2.7.b5 is needed by package thunderbird-lightning-1.0-0.7.20090715hg.fc11.x86_64 (installed)

Expected results:
Expected thunderbird-lightning to be updated as well that is compatible with the new thunderbird.

Additional info:
There is a version of thunderbird-lightning available here that seems to work:

http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/sunbird/1.0/0.8.20090715hg.fc11/

This should be pushed to updates ASAP in order to fix this issue.

Looks like a duplicate of bug #529304.

Comment 2 Sebastian Krämer 2009-10-16 16:58:02 UTC
Yes, and by the same poster..?
Anyway, updating works of course when lightning was removed first (obviously this is only a workaround for people that don't rely too much on lightning).
