Description Need Real Name 2009-10-30 07:02:28 UTC
At boot, I an prompted for a passphrase to an encrypted partition which is not in crypttab. This is a bug.

cryptsetup-luks-1.1.0-0.1.fc12.x86_64
dracut-002-13.4.git8f397a9b.fc12.noarch
kernel 2.6.31.5-96.fc12.x86_64

Comment 1 Harald Hoyer 2009-10-30 08:43:57 UTC
you can prevent that by add adding "rd_NO_LUKS" to the kernel command line or specify the luks uuid for the root device with "rd_LUKS_UUID=luks-xxxx...."

Run
# dracut-gencmdline

This will show you what you can specify for your host.

Comment 2 Need Real Name 2009-10-30 16:06:43 UTC
Okay, so is that a workaround, or is this intended behaviour?

dracut-gencmdline is not found for me.

Comment 3 Harald Hoyer 2009-10-30 17:10:54 UTC
well, intended behaviour at first and turned to an intended workaround later :-)

# yum install /sbin/dracut-gencmdline
