This is fixed in Fedora 12. Not sure if I will push a fix out for 11. This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '11'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life. Description of problem: The program below should print "blah" in black text on white, with a black background for the rest of the window. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ncurses-5.7-2.20090207.fc11.x86_64 How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: Run this program. It works fine on an xterm, but prints a white line to eol on gnome-terminal. #include <ncurses.h> int main() { int counter; initscr(); start_color(); init_pair(64,0,7); attrset(COLOR_PAIR(64)); move(6,10); for (counter=1; counter < 7; counter++) addch(' '); move(6,10); addstr("Blah"); move(6,11); refresh(); for (counter=1; counter < 7; counter++) addch(' '); move(6,10); addstr("Blah"); refresh(); getch(); endwin(); return 0; } Actual results: blah on a white background with a bright white line of spaces to the edge of the window. Expected results: blah on a white background with the rest of the screen black. Additional info: Gives expected result with an xterm, doesn't work right with gnome-terminal.
