You could set schedules on auto-groups in 2.0 so you should be able to now too e.g.

Configure Metric Collection Schedules for resources of type: JBossAS Server and parent jon2client-1

Add schedules subtab to AutoGroup monitor tab.  Note, to update schedules for an autogroup the user must have Global Inventory permission, or Resource Measurement permission for every resource in the group.  If you can view the autogroup you can view the  schedules.
