Description Jeff Weiss 2009-02-23 17:03:00 UTC
How to repeat:

In main menu, drop down Resources, then start typing a resource name in the search bar. when some options appear, press the down arrow to select one, then hit "enter". Notice the resource name you started typing is replaced with a resource ID like 500059.

This shouldn't be shown, that ID is part of the internal workings of RHQ and shouldn't appear in the UI.

Comment 1 Joseph Marques 2009-04-28 07:35:12 UTC
search bars has long since been update to only show resource and parentResource names

Comment 2 Jeff Weiss 2009-04-28 12:06:05 UTC
joseph, you closed this too hastily. It is still an issue in rev3856. If you follow the repro steps you will see what I'm referring to.

Comment 3 John Mazzitelli 2009-04-28 12:08:39 UTC
this also happens in the group search field - but this may be a tough nut to crack because we need to put the ids in the field so the other RF components can use it to complete the search mechanism.

of course this is a minor issue (I'd say it borders on trivial) - the user can always get the resource ID from the URLs, so its not like we are hiding resource IDs from the user anyway.

Comment 5 wes hayutin 2010-02-16 16:56:41 UTC
Temporarily adding the keyword "SubBug" so we can be sure we have accounted for all the bugs.

keyword:
new = Tracking + FutureFeature + SubBug

Comment 6 wes hayutin 2010-02-16 17:01:53 UTC
making sure we're not missing any bugs in rhq_triage

Comment 7 Corey Welton 2010-08-20 15:15:25 UTC
Closing per 19-Aug triage -- this bug will be made obsolete per UI redesign.
