Description of Problem:
configure sets topdir to $prefix/src/$RPMCANONVENDOR but
macros.in hardcodes the final directory to `redhat'.
A patch is attached.

This is the legacy default for rpm. If anything, the
patch will become
	/usr/src/rpm
rather than adding a vendor.
