Oops Output on shutdown of PowerBook G4 1ghz using Fedora 12 Kernel 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.ppc none

Description Peter Lemenkov 2009-11-19 19:00:16 UTC
The kernel crashes each reboot with a stacktrace (attached picture). Looks like it's an issue related to b43 and/or b43-openfwwf, but I'm not sure about the latter one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.31.5-127.fc12.ppc
b43-openfwwf-5.2-2.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:
always.

Steps to Reproduce:
Just reboot from the terminal. I tried only rebooting from X11, but don't think it matters.

Comment 6 ^mp3axe^ 2009-11-20 19:31:19 UTC
If user runs 'sudo rmmod b43' before a shutdown or restart, Kernel Oops does not occur.

Comment 7 Peter Lemenkov 2009-11-25 08:43:09 UTC
This issue has already been addressed by mainline commit no.
d50bae33d1358b909ade05ae, and sent on to stable.

Comment 8 Peter Lemenkov 2010-02-01 18:47:54 UTC
The issue was gone in latest F-12 kernels. I believe, this thicket may be closed now.

Comment 9 ^mp3axe^ 2010-02-01 19:57:45 UTC
I will have to ask Bambi regarding the thicket. But I can confirm this issue is fixed in the latest F12 updates.

This Bug can be closed as resolved.
